He Performed Miracles Just Like He Said He Would

The woman who stood in the synagogue on the Sabbath when Jesus was teaching experienced nothing short of a miracle that day.

In Luke 13:10-17, we read her story and witness how Jesus exercised His divine authority in a single moment. Jesus was teaching in the synagogue, but He saw her. He spoke to her. And He laid hands on her. That day, she was set free from the spirit of infirmity.

Jesus' miracles during His time on earth confirmed His divine nature. While many thought of Him as just Jesus of Nazareth, the carpenter’s son, He was so much more. He came to save humanity.

This woman had been bound by a spirit of infirmity for 18 years. She was bent over and unable to lift herself up. A spirit of infirmity is a demonic attack sent by Satan to afflict people with sickness, disease, and paralysis. Its sole purpose is to cause destruction in the human body.

Yet, Jesus showed up for her. He cast out the demon and set her free. But instead of celebrating the miracle, the ruler of the synagogue became fixated on the day it happened—the Sabbath. He cared more about tradition than transformation.

This story reminds us of a powerful truth: spiritual warfare is real. Whether we acknowledge it or not, it’s happening. If you are outside the will of God, the enemy is after your soul. If you are in the will of God, he still wages war because you belong to the Lord. He is the enemy of God—and therefore, he is your enemy.

Ephesians 6:12 (Easy English Bible) says: "We are not fighting against human enemies. Instead, we are fighting against the rulers and the powerful spirits that have authority over this dark world. We are fighting against the bad spirits who live in the heavens."

Your fight is not against your family, friends, coworkers, or social media foes. It’s against a real spiritual enemy.

Get Connected to Freedom

It’s time to surround yourself with people who want to see you loosed—free from bondage. And as daughters of God, we must be willing to do for others what Jesus did that day: see their need, speak life, and act in faith. Let’s break through the chains of tradition and legalism to meet both the spiritual and physical needs of others.

Get around people who want to see you loosed.

If you’ve ever experienced a miracle from Jesus, you know His glory has been revealed in your life. You owe Him your praise! Every day is a miracle, and miracles are happening all around us. Let’s give God glory for who He is, what He has done, and what He is doing.

Do you want to glorify God? Start by simply saying, “Thank you, Jesus.” Declare who God is to you. Say, “Lord, You are good, holy, righteous, powerful, all-knowing.” Make it personal and specific to how you’ve seen Him work in your life.

Disrupt Tradition, Embrace God’s Authority

God is looking for daughters who will disrupt legalism, defy man’s expectations, and obey His commands. Many of us are held captive because we’ve listened to what man said instead of moving forward in what God has already called us to do.

Here’s my advice: Get in your Bible. Know God’s Word so deeply that no one can deceive you. The miracles Jesus performed in Scripture still leave us in awe—and if He did it before, He can do it again.

Let’s not be hypocrites, claiming to be Christians but denying the power of God. What we speak, we must believe, and what we believe, we must live out.

God is Still Performing Miracles

I believe God’s daughters need miracles all over the world today. Satan has kept many bound, but God is setting His daughters free. Even now, He is moving! My prayer is simple:

God, see us. God, speak to us. God, lay Your hands on us in the name of Jesus.

We’re not waiting on man to lay hands—God is doing it right now! Satan has no authority over our God, so we have no reason to fear. Jesus defeated spiritual warfare, and the miracle you need can happen wherever you are. There are no limits to how God can move.

We serve a God who never sleeps, never slumbers, and never takes a vacation. Resist the devil today, reject his lies, and let God free you in the matchless name of Jesus. Contend for the faith, embrace God’s will, and glorify Him for what He has done, is doing, and will do.

Because He’s still performing miracles—just like He said He would!
